Your meaningful purpose:

Prepare specifications and cost calculations as a part of proposals or tenders for refits and fleet support, in close co-operation with internal and external stakeholders, respecting the Client wishes, technical requirements, (national and international) valid procedures, guidelines and applicable law and rules & regulations. 

What will your challenges be?

-        Refit/Fleet Support Job Specification & Cost estimation/calculation

Visit yachts of the Oceanco Fleet or other brands together with Project Manager Fleet Support or Refit before or during a project and discuss scope of work. Review client wishes and (technical) requirements with internal and external stakeholders. Gather all for the project applicable and necessary information (time, specification and budget related). Signal, report and discuss risks and/or (technical) problem areas and suggest mitigating actions and/or alternatives. Request and evaluate quotations of third parties. On request attend meetings with Client representatives. Prepare specifications and develop integral budget (both for project as well as for change orders, provide input for procurement, risk analysis and planning and write sales related documentation. Submit to responsible Project Manager for approval. Maintain relationship with internal and external stakeholders during the project and maintain the project dossier during whole (pre-)project phase.

-        Cost evaluation

Analyse and compare actual project data (time, specification and budget related) in relation to prepared cost calculation to continuously improve the accuracy of cost calculation/estimation and linked processes to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

-        Knowledge

Keep up-to-date with developments in ship building, yacht design, market and prices (for both yachts as a whole and materials, systems, equipments thereof), national and international valid procedures, guidelines and applicable law and rules & regulations in relation to yacht building.  Translate gathered information into useful and applicable suggestions for projects at hand. 

-        Reporting

Ensure timely and correct reporting to superiors based on set key performance indicators in accordance with applicable procedures and guidelines. 

What do we ask for?

• HBO degree in related area
• 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within maritime industry and/or yacht building industry
• You recognise yourself in the following competencies: Taking responsibility, Anticipating, Decisiveness, Collaboration
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications / Sharepoint 365
• A good command of written and spoken English
